You know the feeling. It's Friday and you get in from work after a couple of hours in traffic. You're tired and in need of some intellectual stimulus, so you log on to the Guardian books blog in search of entertainment, enlightenment, relief. But no, it's just Mills wittering on about poetry again. Oh well, maybe there'll be something better later on.
Disappointment: most of us have experienced it at some point in our lives. There must be those who sail through life without an unfulfilled dream or thwarted ambition, but I suspect they are not the norm. And after all, maybe a bit of frustration is no bad thing; or am I just kidding myself?
One thing is certain, there's no shortage of disappointed poets in the world and it's probably not surprising that love is one of the main reasons why they end up feeling let down

Posters of a naked woman enjoying her new carpet have become the target of mysterious self-appointed censors, who have covered the image with paint. The billboard advertisements for carpet brand Fun On The Floor on the roundabout at the junction of Dunstable Road, Hatters Way and Telford Way were defaced on Wednesday night. But despite someone having so publicly demonstrated their dislike of its advertising strategy, the company says the posters will be replaced. A spokesman said: 'Certainly this image is eye-catching and memorable, as any good poster should be. Carpet is by far and away the most tactile floor covering and we wanted to get across that message in the campaign.'The anonymous prude has also covered-up the Powerade sports drink advertisment in Hatters Way which shows an apparently naked Olympic Team GB swimmer Gregor Tait rising out of a swimming pool mid-stroke
